Minutes - 7th December, 2004
December7th the regularly scheduled meeting of the
SVARC was held at the clubhouse with 12 members present.
Bob,WB3HML reported the Treasurer's report.
The slate of officers for 2005 was announced:
President-Marv, N3JIW
V. Pres.-Bob, WY3M
Treasurer-Bob, WB3HML
Secretary-Dave, K3SI
Activities Director-Gordon, AB3AX
Trustee-Bill, K3ARR
Repeater reports: 18 & 27 both running good.
82 was running ok on low power, barefoot 12 watts.
Christmas Party would be held on December 18th
at the Ric-Mar Restaurant on rt. 11 north of Northumberland at
6 PM.
NG3F-discussed the possibility of having a VE session
the 3rd weekend in January, 15th.
WY3M-report on the Lewisburg Arts Festival that
more activities are planned for this year due to the involvement
of Bucknell Univ. He was sure a tent would be OK for our headquarters
if the van isn't available. The Arts Council meeting is the first
Monday in January at the Lewisburg Hotel.
Milton Festival possibly need us again for two
weekends this year in September but haven't heard anything from
our contact person.
WB3HML held the 50-50 drawing which was won by
Tom, KE3BP, who donated his winnings back to the club.
Marv N3JIW gave an excellent talk on tower climbing
safety and had climbing gear there to demonstrate. He made the
point of planning on safety and having all tools and equipment
on hand before you start. A transcription of Marv's talk twill
be forwarded to members at a later date.
A motion proposed to offer Bill Michaels KB3KUM
a year's membership for his help on the 18 and 82 antenna/tower
projects. Motion passed.
