TO INDEX OF MEETINGS November 4th was the regularly scheduled meeting of the SVARC at the clubhouse. We had 15 members and one guest present. The third reading of the change to the Club Constitution was made by Roger N3CVQ.
SECTION 2. The officers of this Club shall be elected for a term of one year by ballot at the December meeting. The ballot may be cast by the members present or by absentee ballot. The absentee ballot will be sent out after the October meeting to those paid members who will not be attending the December meeting. The completed ballot will be sent to the Club treasurer prior to the December meeting. The Treasurer will bring all absentee ballots to the December meeting to be counted. The officers are to serve for 1 fiscal year beginning January 1 of each calendar year. The motion passed and will apply to the election of officers next year (2004). There was a change to the by-laws also passed regarding the start time of the meetings
A second change to the py-laws was passed regarding the addition of a family membership to the dues structure.The dues for a family will be ONE AND ONE HALF the the dues for a regular membership. The report on the 82 repeater was that it still has squelch problems related to the pot adjustment on the circuit board, NR3U hopes to be able to corrct this problem. Clem was authorized to take the repeater to John WN3V for repair if he is unable to fix the problem. Traning report-NG3F- the training session had a visit from Mike N3IRN who is District Emergency Director. Bob WY3M reported he is still trying to make contact with the Lewisburg Arts Festival committee but the person in charge is away on vacation. Nomination of Officers for 2004:

Trustee: KA3BVJ Further nominations and voting will be at the December meeting. WB3HML held the 50-50 drawing with a total take of $20. The drawing was won by Marv N3JIW who returned his winnings to the club. |
