October 5th the regularly scheduled meeting of the SVARC was held at the Snyder County 911 Center with 11 members present.

WB3HML: Bob gave treasurer's report.
N3CVQ/K3IEM: Motion/2nd to pay the bill for insurance. passed.

82 Repeater: New hardline has been pulled to the top antenna and the amplifier is now in use. John WN3V will be on the site on the weekend to check things out with his test equipment and insure proper operation. The future replacement of the antenna will have to wait over the winter.A new voice ID willl be available later this month.

18 Repeater: All work has been done until spring. UHF control not yet installed.

Moyer Electronics has donated some connectors and other things toward the repeater antenna projects. Freidman Electric also donated some harware toward the antenna project and gave the club a discount on other items.

NG3F/N3CVQ: motion to give Bill Moyer form Moyer Electronics and John Miller (WN3V) membership in the club for one year. Passed

A BIG thank you to all the members that helped on the repeater antenna tower work.

Milton Tomato Festival: There were 7 members helping on the first Saturday and 3 on the second Saturday which was rained out by Hurricane Ivan.

Activities: The Christmas Party will be held on December the 18th at 6pm at the Ric-Mar Restaurant on rt.11 between Northumberland and Danville. Please advise Donna N3XJY if you plan on attending this fun event.

October 23 is the date for the EMCOMM conference at the Career Link Center, Selinsgrove. 48 reservations have been made so far. Contact Chris NG3F on this.

NG3F gave a talk on the use of computers in the hamshack.

NG3F: reported that the Snyder County ARES group has obtained the licenses K3SNY, W3SNY, and WS3SNY for use in various county facilities during emergency operations.

Snyder county has a two meter colinear antenna for sale to make an offer or get more info see Chris NG3F.
