Minutes - 3rd May, 2005
May 3 the regularly scheduled meeting of the SVARC
was held at the clubhouse, there were 10 members present.
WB3HML reported the treasury balance. Bob also
made a motion to set aside a specific part of this balance into
our reserve fund. Motion passed.
Repeater report. 18 - the defective power supply
has been replaced 82- the antenna work has been done by the County's
contractor. Some minor adjustment still need to be made but the
repeater is operational. 27- working good.
AB3AX reported that 8 people had turned out for
the Fox Hunt on the 16th and a good time was had by all. The Lewsburg
Arts festival went well in spite of the rain and the club received
$750 for our efforts.
WB3HML held the 50-50 drawing with a total take
of $8, the winner was Dennis KA3BVJ who returned his winnings
to the club.
WB3HML reported on Saturday the 9th a training
session in IS700 would be held at the Snyder County 911 center
by EMA personnel.*correction to last month's report, training
in IS100 and 200 is required by Snyder County and IS 700 is required
by PEMA & FEMA.*
The defective clubhouse heater will be repaired
by clubmembers over the summer.
The vote was taken on the location for Feild Day
and the choice was the clubhouse. A request will be made for the
Communications Van from the County to provide two operating locations.
N3LEP attempted to retire as net control to the
Sunday night net but after some discussion it was decided to return
the net to the Shade Mountain Repeater in hopes that will boost
sagging activity. It was also suggested that we have a brief net
on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:45pm to help remind people
of the club meeting. Net control is potluck.
NR3U stated he will be returning the APRS to operation
at the 82 Site.
