RETURN TO INDEX OF MEETINGS
Minutes - 5th April, 2005

ON April 5th , the regularly scheduled meetingof the SVARC was held at the clubhouse, 13 members attended.

WB3HML reported the current balance and that we have 21 paid members. The 50-50 drawing was held with a total take of $13, the drawing was won by K3SI who returned his winnings to the club.

Repeater reports: 18 was having some power supply problems but there is a new one on hand that will be changed asap.
82 is waiting for the tower crew from the county to replace the antenna with a new stationmaster with 3degree downtilt.
27 is working ok.

AB3AX reports there will be a fox hunt at 9AM Saturday the 16th beginnning at the clubhouse.

N3CVQreports there is a problem with the gas heater as flames were coming out the top when he tried to light it.

WB3HML reports that FEMA training on IS100, 200, and 700 is being required by state government. Training session on Saturday the 9th for IS 100 & 200 at the 911 Center. Dave Nichols will run the IS 700 course on Saturday May 6th. All courses start at 9 AM. Another course in WMD will be conducted sometime in the future.

Arts Festival. The Communications van will be available if a written resquest is sent to the county. The on site operating frequency will be 146.565 simplex.

K3ARR reports low activity for the Sunday evening net, even though Tom is doing a good job as net control. He also reported that the West Branch ARC(Williamsport) has suspended it's Monday evening net after many dcades of activity.

There was some lively discussion on where the club should hold Field Day this year. Four sites were finally identified for the members to vote on at the May meeeting.
1. Clubhouse
2. Shikellemy Park (either the overlook or the main park)
3. Selinsgrove Center hilltop
4. Snyder County 911 Center
Think it over and then come out to the May meeeting on the 3rd and vote for your favorite. Then plan on coming out for FieldDay in June.
