Minutes - 8th March, 2005
On March 8th the regularly scheduled meeting of
the SVARC was held at the clubhouse., delayed one week by bad
weather. There were 10 members preent.
The treasurer gave his report.
The antenna replacement has ben ordered by the county,cost
to be covered by their insurance. Other equipment on the tower
had been damaged by the same ice storm that took out the 82 antenna.
AB3AX reports there is a Fox Hunt scheduled for
Saturday April 16 everyones welcome to this fun activity. The
Lewisburg Arts Festival is Saturday April 30th and assistance
of all hands is needed whenever you can assist during the day.
WB3HML reported he will be speaking to the Selinsgrove
Rotary on March 17th.
AB3AX Made a motion to raise our Liability insurance
to $500,00 per occurance and 1 Million aggregate since the increase
in cost for this coverage is only about $40 a year.
Field day sites for this year to be checked out
are the Sunbury Armory and the Snyder County 911 center since
the ARRL has added a catagory for 911 centers.
NG3F reports that sometime in the future qualification
tests will be required by FEMA for volunteers for the EMA duties.
N3JIW reports he is making progress on the fast
scan TV equipment and hopes to have it running for the Arts Festival.

The 50-50 drawing was for $10 and won by K3SI who
donated his winnings back to the club.
