Minutes - 6th January, 2004
On January 6th the regularly scheduled meeting of
the SVARC was held at the clubhouse. We had 16 members and one
guest present.
Two new hams were voted into membership, they are
husband and wife Shannon and Rachael Mae Latham, W3SMKL and KB3FWC
respectively. The live on Beaver Run Road in Union County near
the village of Vicksburg.
NR3U reported that the 82 machine was at his QTH
undergoing bench testing prior to being installed on the repeater
site. They expect to have the repeater on the air within the next
ten days. Clem says he also has a spare amplifier for either the
82 or 18 machines. Clem says the APRS repeater is off the air
he believes due to receiver problems. The transceiver used for
this is an old Clegg FM-DX, he will troubleshoot this further
when they go up to the site. Doug, WA3NLA volunteered to take
the Clegg to Chuck K3CM to be repaired if needed.
Donna N3XJY reported that the Sweetheart Dinner
will be held Saturday February 14th at a location yet to be determined.
NG3F & N3CVQ reported the Red Cross training for
CPR is $35 per person. Roger is checking with the Heart Assoc.
on their charges for CPR, temporarily, the schedule for this training
is the first Saturday in February. The antenna building project
has been moved to Saturday the 10th.
Technician class by video is scheduled for Friday
Feb. 27th and Saturday and Sunday the 28th and 29th with an open
VE session on Sunday the 29th. This class will require registration.
Bob WY3M reports he will be attending the meeting
of the Lewisburg Arts Council this week to find out their requirements
us at this years Festival.
WB3HML reported the 50-50 drawing took in $12.00
and the winner was Dennis KA3BVJ.
